Old Dancing Shoes

Walking into an old bar
Where the dance floor is empty
An old stranded piano at the side
Ancient jukebox playing songs relentlessly
With no one dancing by it

I sat by the bar
With a middlle age bartender saying ‘howdy..’
Ordering a glass of beer
As I sit facing the empty dance floor
I saw a faded black dancing shoes by the wall

This used to be my dance floor
Where we dance freely to the rhythm of the music
I dance with you all along, motioning your moves
I said dance and I’ll follow

But now the memories stay and you’re no longer here
like the faded dancing shoes, it used to be 2 of them
As I put on the dancing shoes for the last time
Dancing till the last beats of the music

With all memories hanging all around me
And I realized how old my feets have been
The young spirit that touched me once again make me forget how grey I had become
Let’s have a last dance I said
Till we meet again in heaven…
